Kuwait Min. of Municipal Affairs tours Darwazat Abdulrazzaq project


Kuwaiti Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan affirmed the development and maintenance completion of Darwazat Al-Abdulrazzaq project, indicating the reopening of the Darwaza soon.

In a statement to KUNA, Dr. Al-Mashaan highlighted the inspection tour she conducted at the site accompanied by the Head of the Municipal Council Abdullah Al-Mahari, saying that the project’s plans are well underway and would reopen in a timely manner.

The inspection tour is part of a commitment which follows up on the developments of the Ministry’s projects, ensuring their progress in achieving the highest standards of quality and safety of its infrastructure, Dr. Al-Mashaan added.

She expressed her gratitude towards Kuwait’s leadership and the Council of Ministers for their continuous confidence and support of the Ministries of Municipal Affairs and Public Works, which, in turn, reflects their gratitude to the efforts of officials in the projects.

icipal Council Abdullah Al-Mahari reaffirmed that the inspection tour of the Darwazat Al-Abdulrazzaq underpass underscores the importance of the project’s success.

Al-Mahari also praised Dr. Al-Mashaan’s efforts and her keenness in seeing to the projects.

Furthermore, Al-Mahari stated that the through the maintenance work occurring at the Darwaza, it would contribute greatly towards restoring the aesthetic appearance of the historical landmark.

Darwazat Al-Abdulrazzaq is a historical landmark in Kuwait, it used to be a horse stable and camel passageway, as well as a current pedestrian underpass in the heart of Kuwait City and close to Souk Al-Mubarakiya.
