Kuwait Condemns Iranian Attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar

Kuwait City: The State of Kuwait has issued a strong condemnation following the attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, attributed to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. Kuwait has labeled the attack as a blatant violation of Qatari sovereignty and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement through the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) highlighting the seriousness of the attack and its potential to escalate tensions in the region. The ministry reiterated Kuwait's steadfast support for Qatar, including its leadership and citizens, during this challenging period.

The statement from the ministry affirmed Kuwait's endorsement of any measures Qatar opts to undertake in safeguarding its sovereignty and ensuring its security. This support extends to Qatar's right to respond appropriately to the aggression it faced.

Kuwait has also pledged to utilize its resources and capabilities to assist Qatar, emphasizing that the security of Qatar is closely linked to that of Kuwait. The ministry acknowledged the effectiveness of Qatari air defenses in addressing the attack and urged for an immediate cessation of military escalations in the region.

In its concluding remarks, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for increased regional and international efforts to boost coordination and focus on diplomatic resolutions to reduce tensions and secure regional stability.
