Kuwait Air Defences Successfully Intercept Multiple Aerial Threats


Kuwait city: The Ministry of Defence of the State of Kuwait announced that the armed forces detected and dealt with three cruise missiles and 15 hostile drones within the country’s airspace over the past 24 hours.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Saud Al Atwan, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, stated during a media briefing on operational developments that the attacks targeted a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport. The situation was managed by specialised teams. Additionally, debris from the interception fell on a residential house in one of the areas without causing any injuries.



Al Atwan highlighted that the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team from the Land Force Engineering Corps, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, safely neutralised a military object at the site following approved procedures. He affirmed the commitment of the armed forces to protect the nation, stressing their resolve to defend against any threats to Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability, ensuring the safety of citizens and residents.
