Manama: Dr. Ibrahim Al Barzanji from the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) emphasised the importance of the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the theme "One Nation, One Shared Destiny."
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Barzanji noted that the conference takes place at a critical time when the Islamic nation faces division and the impact of unregulated fatwas. He stressed the importance of strengthening Islamic solidarity and encouraging consensus on fundamental issues rather than focusing on sect differences.
Dr. Al Barzanji highlighted the role of scholars in reducing divisions and fostering mutual respect for theological differences, cautioning against debates that could negatively affect the Muslim community. He expressed hope that the conference would lead to recommendations aimed at promoting unity among Muslims.
Furthermore, Dr. Al Barzanji underscored the responsibility of scholars and researchers in addressing the challenges facing the Islamic nation today.
