KSrelief’s Masam project clears 1,403 mines in Yemen

The Masam project, conducted by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has made significant progress in clearing Yemeni lands of mines.

During the fourth week of August this year, a total of 1,403 mines were successfully cleared in various regions of Yemen. This includes 11 anti-personnel mines, 67 anti-tank mines, 1,322 unexploded ordnance items, and three explosive devices, SPA reported.

With these recent numbers, the overall count of cleared mines since the project’s inception has reached an impressive 412,971.

The project is a testament to the unwavering dedication of Saudi Arabia, as it actively works through KSrelief and the Masam project to eradicate the mines that were planted by the Houthi militia on Yemeni territory.

By carrying out this essential task, the Saudi government plays a vital role in enhancing the safety and well-being of Yemeni citizens, safeguarding their lives and ensuring the overall security of the region.
