Manama:The Cultural Hall hosted the "Hwa Laeng Yi" show, a collaboration between the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bahrain, as part of the 35th Bahrain International Music Festival.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the performance by Daehansaram delved into various facets of Korean performing arts, showcasing influences from the Joseon era to Korea's modern cultural identity. It emphasized the depth of Korea's musical and performing arts heritage and its evolution over time.
The program featured the royal court dance "Chun Aeng Jeon" and several Korean art forms recognized by UNESCO, complemented by live music and audience participation. The show uniquely blended classical and hip-hop rhythms while incorporating Bahraini musical heritage through traditional Fan Al Sawt melodies and Liwa rhythms, illustrating the cultural connections between Bahrain and Korea.
