Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco addressed the Moroccan people on the occasion of Throne Day, marking the 27th anniversary of his accession to the throne. His address focused on the achievements of his reign and the future aspirations for Morocco.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty began by reflecting on the past 27 years of leadership, emphasizing continuous efforts to meet the aspirations of the Moroccan people. The King highlighted that the ultimate goal has been to serve the nation and ensure a dignified life for all Moroccans. He attributed the achievements to a clear strategic vision and a governance system based on initiative, close follow-up, and constructive self-criticism.
His Majesty emphasized Morocco's current pivotal stage in development, noting security, stability, and effective state institutions as critical assets in a region marked by instability. The King underscored the importance of these factors as strategic capital for Morocco.
On economic matters, King Mohammed VI pointed out the positive indicators of economic growth and national sovereignty. He highlighted that economic growth reached approximately 4.9% in 2025, with expectations to maintain or exceed this level in 2026. The King also mentioned a successful agricultural season, a record tourism influx of around 20 million visitors, and Morocco's rising status as an industrial hub in several key sectors.
The King further noted Morocco's role as a trusted international actor and strategic partner with balanced partnerships. He concluded his speech by expressing pride in the Royal Armed Forces and security authorities for their dedication to Morocco's unity and stability, while also paying tribute to past leaders who contributed to the nation's development.
