Manama:His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a congratulatory cable from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of inaugurating the fifth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised the King's Royal Address, highlighting its emphasis on national cooperation and the vision for the country's future. His Royal Highness noted that the address underscored the importance of collaboration among constitutional authorities and prioritizing the nation's interests.
The Crown Prince emphasized that the Royal Address sets a clear direction on national priorities, advocating for solidarity and collective action to tackle regional and international challenges while maintaining Bahrain's security and prosperity. He expressed pride in the King's acknowledgment of the government's efforts and its plans to address current challenges.
Furthermore, the Crown Prince commended the recognition of Bahrain's defense and security forces for their role in protecting the Kingdom. He reiterated the government's commitment to enhancing these institutions through capacity development and system modernization.
The government is focused on translating the Royal Address into actionable plans, including cooperation with the legislative authority, modernizing economic legislation, and enhancing the investment environment. The Crown Prince also highlighted the importance of sustainability in energy, environmental protection, and food and water security as part of national security.
The Crown Prince welcomed the King's declaration of June 1 as "Day of Pledge and Loyalty," a national holiday celebrating the bond between the monarchy and the people.
