Manama: The King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance (KHGC) organized a sports training programme for its employees to mark Bahrain Sports Day, attended by Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Executive Director of the Centre.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Executive Director stated that the event reflects the Centre’s commitment to promoting health and physical activity in the workplace, encouraging a balance between professional performance and healthy lifestyles. She highlighted that the sports sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to receive support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, enhancing physical and moral readiness.
Further remarks praised the Cabinet’s decision, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to designate February 12 as a half working day across ministries and government entities. This decision allows employees to participate in Bahrain Sports Day activities, reinforcing sport as a community culture.
The Executive Director also commended the contributions of Bahraini sports institutions and the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in supporting youth and sports, strengthening the environment for practising sports.
The programme featured broad participation from the Centre’s employees in various exercises, including aerobic and resistance training, and group activities aimed at strengthening team spirit and fostering an energetic atmosphere. This initiative is part of the Centre’s internal programmes supporting a balanced and dynamic working environment.
