KHGC Hosts Delegation from Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Manama: Ali Abdulla Al Aradi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, welcomed a delegation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Isa Cultural Center. The meeting highlighted the Center's ongoing efforts to foster collaboration with international religious bodies and to implement joint initiatives that encourage interfaith and intercultural discussions.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting included Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Executive Director of the Center, and Noora Abdulla Al Mansoori, Director of Coexistence. The Deputy Chairman emphasized the significance of religious institutions in promoting social stability and the dissemination of universal human values.

The discussions explored potential collaborations to enhance interfaith understanding and promote the values of coexistence and peace. The Church's delegation, led by Elder David A. Bednar, Member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, included Elder Anthony D. Perkins, President of the Church's Middle East and North Africa Area, and Elder Adilson Parrella, First Counselor for the Area. They discussed possible avenues for coordination and expertise exchange.

Elder David Bednar, representing the delegation, expressed gratitude for Bahrain's efforts in supporting religious freedom and fostering mutual understanding among different faiths. He conveyed wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity.
