The Kahaleh-Beirut highway has been reopened to traffic in both directions, the Traffic Management Center reported on Thursday. Last night, locals blocked the road in Kahaleh after an overturned truck caused unrest in the area, with tensions escalating into a trade of fire that left one dead and many injured. The army and security forces swiftly intervened and cordoned off the area.
