Manama: As part of government efforts to improve and re-engineer public services, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf has developed its Request for a Certified Copy of a Notarised Document service. This upgrade, under the Notary Services sector, is now available electronically through the Electronic Notary Services portal. Beneficiaries can submit requests and receive certified copies electronically, eliminating the need for in-person visits.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the upgraded service reduces the required documents to just one and digitizes the entire process. Application forms have been converted into electronic forms, service information has been unified across all official channels, and improvements have been made to the user interface and experience. These changes aim to simplify procedures and enhance ease of access.
Nouf Ali Khalfan, Director of the Notary and Enforcement Directorate at the Ministry, stated that the new service allows beneficiaries to obtain certified copies of notarised documents electronically. This streamlining of procedures is designed to reduce time and effort, improving the efficiency of notary services.
The service was developed to support the government's digital transformation objectives and improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries. By simplifying procedures, reducing requirements, and speeding up service delivery, the initiative aims to improve the user and beneficiary experience. As part of ongoing efforts, over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with around 800 services undergoing development and re-engineering.
These developments are based on feedback and proposals received through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints, Tawasul, as well as investor feedback and secret shopper reports. The launch of guidance manuals and service level agreements also supports these efforts, contributing to improved procedural efficiency, enhanced service quality, and a strengthened beneficiary experience in line with the government's digital transformation goals.
