Manama: Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, received Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of Law and Justice, and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs of India. The meeting was a significant step in fostering the already strong bilateral relations between Bahrain and India.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Professor Marike Paulsson, Secretary General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, was present during the meeting. Minister Al Maawda praised the longstanding Bahrain-India ties and emphasized the ongoing development of cooperation across various sectors.
The discussion centered on exploring opportunities for collaboration in international commercial dispute resolution. Both ministers expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in judicial training, enhancing judicial mechanisms, and integrating digital tools in court operations, marking a progressive approach towards modernizing the judiciary.
Additionally, the ministers underscored the value of exchange visits as a means to learn from each other's experiences in justice-related fields. Such exchanges are seen as pivotal for improving the efficiency of judiciary support bodies and furthering institutional collaboration.
