Justice Minister Engages in Strategic Discussions at 35th GCC Ministers of Justice Meeting

Kuwait city: Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Mawada, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, participated in the 35th meeting of Ministers of Justice of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held in Kuwait.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on significant topics aimed at advancing judicial, legal, and judicial cooperation among GCC countries. Among the key items discussed were a proposal to establish an electronic platform for linking judicial announcements and notifications between member states and the preparation of a unified policy to bolster cooperation among the Ministries of Justice in the GCC.

The assembly also examined draft unified rules designed to combat discrimination, hate speech, and contempt of religions and beliefs, alongside draft unified rules to address cybercrimes throughout the GCC countries.

Furthermore, the meeting involved discussions on reports related to preparatory meetings, such as the meeting of directors and heads of legal and judicial training centers and institutes in the GCC, as well as the meeting of officials in international cooperation and foreign relations departments of the Ministries of Justice across the GCC states.
