Amman:A Jordanian security officer was killed on Thursday in a stabbing attack in the capital city of Amman. The incident has prompted an investigation by the local authorities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan confirmed the death of the officer, who was attacked with a sharp weapon.
The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson stated that an investigation has been launched to determine the details surrounding the attack and to implement necessary measures in response to the incident, as reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
