Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan received His Excellency Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, to discuss the latest regional developments.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty reiterated his condemnation of Iran's ongoing attacks targeting Jordan and a number of Arab countries, stressing the need to respect the sovereignty of states and to intensify international efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation through diplomatic means.
HM King Abdullah cautioned against the risks of prolonging the conflict and the resulting escalation of economic pressures on the region and globally, the Jordan news agency (Petra) reported. The meeting also reviewed Jordanian-Ukrainian relations and explored means to further strengthen cooperation.
For his part, HE President Zelenskyy condemned the attacks on Jordan and other countries in the region, underscoring the importance of restoring stability in the Middle East.
