Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan met with His Excellency Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting highlighted their dedication to enhancing the 78-year Jordanian-Pakistani partnership by expanding cooperation in various sectors, including trade, economy, investment, tourism, education, technology, and defense.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also resulted in the exchange of a cooperation agreement between the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation and the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, as well as another agreement between JRTC and the Pakistan Television Corporation. Furthermore, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Jordan and Pakistan's Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training. This MoU aims to establish a chair for Urdu language and Pakistani studies at the university, alongside a cultural cooperation program.
