Jordanian Military: Sounds of Explosions Linked to Interceptions Outside Borders

Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army announced that no missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted over Jordanian territory in the past 24 hours. The military clarified that the sounds of explosions heard in the sky and debris falling in border areas were a result of interception operations carried out west of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's borders.

According to Bahrain News Agency, a joint statement from the Military Media Directorate and the Public Security Directorate reassured that the Kingdom's airspace and territory had not been directly targeted during the reporting period.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate shared that specialised teams from both the Armed Forces and Public Security have been actively responding to incidents involving falling debris and projectiles over the past 24 hours. The Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported that eight such incidents were handled, including one injury in Aqaba Governorate. The injured individual received on-site medical assistance and is reported to be in good condition.

Additionally, the incidents resulted in limited material damage in Aqaba and Karak governorates, as mentioned by the spokesperson.
