Jordanian King Engages in Strategic Dialogue with Lebanese President

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, met with His Excellency Joseph Aoun, the President of the Lebanese Republic, who is currently visiting Jordan. The discussions focused on means to strengthen relations between the two countries and addressed key regional developments.

According to Bahrain News Agency, both leaders expressed pride in the ties that bind their nations and emphasised the importance of continuing to build upon these relations to serve shared interests and Arab issues, ultimately contributing to regional stability.

The talks also highlighted the need to increase trade exchange between the two countries and enhance joint investments, particularly in the energy, electricity, and infrastructure sectors.

HM King Abdullah emphasised Jordan's support for Lebanon in its efforts to maintain security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Both sides stressed the urgent need to halt the war in Gaza and ensure sufficient humanitarian aid flows to all areas. They rejected any plans for the displacement of Palestinians and called for intensified Arab and international efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution.
