Jordanian King and Singaporean Prime Minister Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan met with Singapore's Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong, to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation between the two nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty emphasized Jordan's keen interest in broadening its partnership with Singapore. Discussions focused on collaboration in sectors such as trade, investment, education, water management, public sector development, energy, and defence.

The meeting also addressed recent developments in the Middle East. His Majesty reiterated the importance of maintaining the agreement to end the conflict in Gaza and highlighted the necessity of preventing further escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

His Majesty expressed gratitude for Singapore's humanitarian assistance for Gaza and underscored the significance of continued cooperation between Jordan and Singapore in these efforts.
