Jordanian Finance Minister Engages with IMF Director on Economic Reforms

Amman: Dr. Abdul Hakim Al Shbli, the Jordanian Minister of Finance, met with Dr. Jihad Azour, Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Middle East and Central Asia Department, to discuss the economic reforms in Jordan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting centered on the recent developments in Jordan's national economic and fiscal reform programme, especially in light of ongoing regional pressures. Dr. Azour acknowledged Jordan's economic and fiscal performance and expressed the IMF's support for Jordan's structural reforms, which aim to boost investment and growth in the country.

Dr. Azour's visit to Jordan included discussions with several ministers and officials, making this meeting a part of his broader engagement with the Jordanian government.
