Jordanian and Egyptian Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Tensions

Amman: Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, held a telephone call with Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to discuss regional developments and the repercussions of the escalating tensions.

According to Bahrain News Agency, both sides condemned the Iranian attacks on Arab countries and all acts that undermine their security, sovereignty, stability, and the safety of their peoples. Safadi emphasized that Jordan will continue to take all necessary measures to safeguard its citizens, security, stability, and sovereignty. He also reaffirmed Jordan's full solidarity with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states in all measures they take to confront the Iranian attacks and protect their citizens, security, and stability.

For his part, Abdelatty also reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Jordan and the GCC member states in confronting the attacks.
