Jordanian and Bahraini Leaders Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Amman: Dr. Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Jordan, met with Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, highlighting the strengthening of ties between the two nations. The meeting included significant figures such as Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee, and Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to Jordan. The visit was facilitated by an invitation from Faisal Akef Al Fayez, President of the Jordanian Senate.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Hassan emphasized the strong historical ties and close relations between Jordan and Bahrain, which are supported by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. He noted the commitment of both leaderships to enhance cooperation and develop effective partnerships across various development fields. Dr. Hassan commended Bahrain's progress and conveyed greetings to King Hamad and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Dr. Hassan also stressed the significance of ongoing consultation between the kingdoms to support joint initiatives in economic, political, cultural, health, and educational sectors, aiming to boost investment and trade in support of sustainable development.

Al Saleh, in his remarks, emphasized the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Jordan, recognizing the steady growth in cooperation. He appreciated the visit and acknowledged Jordan's development across multiple sectors. He noted that continued visits and communication between the leaderships and officials of both kingdoms reflect the strength of their bilateral relations and a shared commitment to further cooperation and coordination in support of mutual interests.
