Jordan Olympic Committee receives AHA’s CPR certification

Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC)’s Life Support Training Center obtained accreditation from the American Heart Association (AHA) for its basic resuscitation and cardiac rescue courses, as the first non-medical institution to receive this certification globally.

In a statement Tuesday, the JOC’s Secretary-General, Rana Al-Saeed, stressed the importance of AHA’s accreditation to train technical and administrative workers in the Kingdom’s sports sector on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques.

Al-Saeed added that this accreditation is a “new” achievement for Jordanian sports and the JOC with all its workers and departments.

This step, she noted, will give JOC’s Life Support Training Center “greater” opportunities to hold “specialized” training courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, in a manner certified by the AHA.
