Amman: The volume of trade between Jordan and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries rose to 2.561 billion dinars during the first five months of this year, compared with 2.157 billion dinars in the same period last year.
According to Bahrain News Agency, published by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Jordan's exports to GCC countries grew to 735 million dinars by the end of May, up from 640 million dinars a year earlier. Imports from GCC countries increased to 1.826 billion dinars, compared with 1.517 billion dinars in the same period last year.
Saudi Arabia topped the list of Jordan's GCC trading partners with a trade volume of around 1.691 billion dinars by the end of May, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 603 million dinars, Qatar with 104 million dinars, Kuwait with 75 million dinars, Oman with about 51 million dinars, and Bahrain with around 37 million dinars.
