Joint Military Committee (5 + 5) meets in Paris in presence of Al-Haddad and Al-Nadouri.

The French capital, Paris, hosted on 17 -18 July meetings of the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5), in the presence of Chiefs of Staff of the Libyan Armed Forces in the west and east of the country, Mohamed Al-Haddad and Abdul Razzaq Al-Nadhouri respectivly .

French Foreign Ministry said in a statement, “These meetings centered on the military institution and establishing stability in the country, while ensuring that Libyan sovereignty is fully respected.”

‘These meetings also fall within France’s support for the dialogue between the security actors in Libya and for the actions that have been achieved within the framework of the security working group, which is co-chaired by the United Nations, according to the statement.’ It added.

The French Foreign Ministry statement, which was published by its embassy in Libya on its Twitter website, further stated, “France continues its support for the United Nations and the security movement that mobilizes from all Libyan actors and is keen to form joint units in order to establish security on the Libyan borders and confront terrorism and destabilizing foreign interventions.” In its statement, the ministry indicated that it will follow up on these actions within the framework of the security working groups co-chaired by the United Nations, which will soon be held in Benghazi on July 25, 2023.
