Islamic Endowments Council Deputy Chairman Honours Winners of Fifth Quran Interpretation Competition

Manama: Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Islamic Endowments Affairs, attended a ceremony to honour the winners of the fifth Quran Interpretation Competition. The competition was open to citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain of all age groups, both male and female.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Hajri stressed that organising such a competition is part of ongoing efforts to promote reflection on and understanding of the Holy Quran, deepen awareness of its meanings and rulings, and encourage religious academic research within society. He added that this is the fifth edition of the competition, which forms part of a continuing academic programme to support the study and interpretation of the Quran.

Dr. Al Hajri honoured the winners in recognition of their dedication and effort in seeking religious knowledge, wishing them continued success.
