Islamic Endowments Affairs Council Signs MoU to Construct Muneera Al Bastaki Mosque in Muharraq

Manama: Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Vice Chairman of the Council of Islamic Endowments Affairs, and Mohamed Abdulrahman Rashed Al Bastaki have signed a memorandum of understanding to initiate the construction of the Muneera Mohammed Abdulnoor Al Bastaki Mosque in Muharraq Governorate.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Hajri emphasized that the project aligns with Bahrain's ongoing dedication to maintaining mosques and places of worship, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guided by the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He highlighted that this royal backing and guidance are instrumental in strengthening the roles of mosques, catering to community needs, and providing worshippers with a conducive environment throughout the Kingdom.

The Vice Chairman praised Muneera Mohammed Abdulnoor Al Bastaki's contribution, noting it as a testament to the principles of generosity and social responsibility. He expressed optimism that the mosque project would be realized in line with the authorized plans.

Mohamed Al Bastaki, on his part, lauded the Council of Islamic Endowments Affairs for their support of mosque construction initiatives. He expressed gratitude for the land allocation for the mosque and underscored the necessity of continuous support from philanthropists for mosque building projects, emphasizing their significance in community service and the promotion of generosity and giving.
