Iraq’s Oil Exports To US Rose Last Week

The US Energy Information Administration ( EIA) announced that Iraq’s oil exports to America increased, surpassing Saudi Arabia during the past week.

It said in a table, that “the rate of Iraq’s oil exports to America amounted to 273 thousand barrels per day last week, an increase of 14 thousand barrels as a daily rate from the previous week, in which the rate of oil exports to America reached 259 thousand barrels per day, and thus Iraq exceeded Saudi Arabia in its exports to America.”

It pointed out that “most of America’s oil imports during the past week came from Canada, followed by Mexico, Colombia and then Saudi Arabia.”

According to the EIA, “the amount of US imports of crude oil continues from Nigeria, Ecuador and Brazil, while it did not import any amount from Russia or Libya.”
