Baghdad: Nizar Amidi, President of the Republic of Iraq, condemned the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while affirming his support for the government's measures to pursue those involved.
According to Bahrain News Agency, President Amidi strongly condemned the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, affirming that Iraq does not accept the use of its territory or airspace as a launchpad for attacks against neighbouring countries, and that protecting Iraq's sovereignty and maintaining its relations with its regional neighbours is the responsibility of the State and its constitutional institutions.
The Iraqi President also affirmed his support for the measures taken by the government following these attacks, stressing the necessity of continuing investigations and taking all legal measures against anyone proven to be involved or responsible, in a manner that ensures such attacks do not recur.
President Amidi indicated that Iraq is keen on its relations with Saudi Arabia and all neighbouring countries, and on consolidating security and stability and protecting the interests of the region's peoples, away from any practices that could jeopardise these relations or harm Iraq's security and stability.
