Iraq PM stresses “regional and int’l” partnerships

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani said on Friday that his country is keen on building “regional and international partnerships” that could contribute to the national economic development of sisterly and friendly countries.

The Iraqi prime minister made the remark in a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, where they discussed bilateral relations between both countries and ways of promoting them, according to the Iraqi prime minister’s media office.

He added that these partnerships would also contribute to addressing challenges and establishing regional security and stability, the office said in a press release.

For his part, the Turkish president reiterated eagerness to expand cooperation with Iraq, voicing his country’s willingness to promote Turkish and Iraqi people-to-people exchange and communications, it added.
