Manama: The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (IPA) and the National Open College Network (NOCN) signed a joint framework agreement, in which the IPA obtained the NOCN accreditation. Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, was present at the signing ceremony.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the IPA, stated that the accreditation highlights the institute's dedication to delivering leadership programmes. These programmes have enabled the IPA to meet all necessary requirements for recognition as an internationally accredited centre. The Director General stressed the ongoing importance of developing national leaders in both public and private sectors to further administrative development locally and internationally through programmes that conform to global training standards.
Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa emphasized that the IPA's programmes are designed based on scientific frameworks. These frameworks equip national leaders with the knowledge and skills required to deliver public services effectively, aligning with Bahrain's comprehensive development goals under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Director General also mentioned that the agreement aims to enhance cooperation and integration in training and programme accreditation. This involves accrediting the National Programme for Developing Governmental Leaders and other leadership tracks across various job levels, which will support national initiatives aimed at building institutional capacities according to global standards.
Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa further noted that accrediting specialised training certificates enhances confidence in the quality of programmes and their alignment with international best practices. She affirmed that the IPA is committed to consolidating its position as a center for leadership, thought, and administrative development by expanding partnerships locally, regionally, and internationally, while continuously improving its training programmes to meet the best global standards set by leading administrative institutes worldwide.
The NOCN is a UK-based non-profit organization that establishes global standards for accrediting educational and training qualifications in collaboration with academic and training institutions worldwide.
