Manama: The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) recently organised a panel discussion focused on developing government leaders through the "Qeyadat" (Leaderships) programme. The session featured key speakers, including Ahmed Khalid Al Araifi, Chief Executive of the National Communication Centre (NCC), and was attended by IPA Director General Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa along with participants from the 36th cohort of the Qeyadat programme.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa highlighted the inclusion of communication and influence modules within the Qeyadat programme to meet current and future needs. She emphasized that communication has become a strategic tool that is essential for supporting public policy, promoting transparency, and strengthening professionalism, especially in the context of digital transformation efforts.
Al Araifi underlined the importance of having skilled communicators to effectively shape government narratives and raise public awareness. He also discussed the newly developed Executive Programme in Government Communication, which has been created in collaboration with IPA to enhance advanced capacity-building in this area.
