IPA Director General Engages with UNDP Delegation on AI Governance

Manama: Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), received a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Office visiting Bahrain to participate in the regional workshop titled on responsible governance of artificial intelligence in Arab countries, organised by the National Human Rights Institution (NIHR) in cooperation with the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organisation (AICTO).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed areas of cooperation and opportunities to exchange expertise and best practices, particularly in support of institutional development and keeping pace with future developments. Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa affirmed the institute's keenness to strengthen cooperation with international and UN organisations and benefit from international expertise to further develop institutional practices. She also highlighted the UNDP's role in supporting development efforts and knowledge exchange at the regional and international levels.

The UNDP delegation affirmed the importance of continuing cooperation and exchanging expertise in support of common objectives.
