IPA and AGU Sign MoU to Boost Innovation and Skills Development

Manama:The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) and Arabian Gulf University (AGU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in academics, research, and development. The agreement aims to develop national and Gulf competencies and support government development by facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director-General of the IPA, and Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fahid, President of AGU, signed the MoU. Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa emphasized the significance of partnerships with academic and scientific institutions to bolster efforts in developing competencies and capabilities. She stated that the IPA is actively expanding its partnerships to promote joint initiatives and programs in areas of mutual interest.

Dr. Al Fahid highlighted the collaboration's role in bridging academia and practical applications. He noted that the MoU strengthens AGU's regional role in advancing knowledge and innovation, as well as enhancing research and consultancy cooperation in public administration and government development throughout Bahrain and the GCC.

The MoU outlines a framework for joint research, the formation of teams consisting of academics and practitioners, and the involvement of IPA trainers in AGU's educational programs. It also includes provisions for institutional and technological innovation, capacity building, joint events and activities, and the development of innovative solutions to institutional challenges.
