Geneva: Arguj Kalantarli, the newly appointed Secretary General of the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO), received Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Geneva, at the organisation's headquarters. Kalantarli acknowledged Bahrain's commitment to humanitarian work, international cooperation in civil defence, and risk reduction, highlighting the kingdom's dedication to initiatives aimed at enhancing its disaster response capabilities and safeguarding lives and property.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Abdulla congratulated Kalantarli on his new role and reiterated Bahrain's commitment to maintaining close cooperation with the ICDO. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership, supporting global efforts to build resilient and sustainable communities, and sharing knowledge in emergency response and disaster management.
