Manama:The Ministry of Interior has launched an electronic security arrangements service for events, aimed at improving service quality and streamlining procedures as part of the government's efforts. This new service allows applications to be submitted electronically, eliminating the need for in-person visits to police directorates, thereby saving time and effort for individuals and institutions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the enhancements have significantly reduced the service completion time from 20 working days to just five. Additionally, the required documentation has been halved, and the service-level agreement period has been reduced by at least 25%. Improvements include converting application forms into electronic formats and standardizing service information across all channels.
Major General Adel Abdullah Amin, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources and Head of the Ministry of Interior's Development and Procedures Unification Team, stated that the development of this service is part of the ministry's broader efforts to enhance service quality and procedural efficiency. By simplifying processes and adopting digital solutions, the ministry aims to improve operational efficiency and overall service quality.
Amin highlighted that the electronic application process is expected to enhance the user experience, facilitate easier access to services, and minimize the need for physical visits, aligning with the government's digital transformation goals and performance enhancement initiatives.
In a broader effort to re-engineer public services, the government has documented, translated, and published over 1,300 services, with approximately 800 undergoing development and re-engineering across various sectors. These initiatives have incorporated feedback from the Tawasul National Suggestions and Complaints System, investor feedback, and mystery shopper reports, all aimed at improving procedural efficiency, service quality, and user experience in support of the government's digital transformation agenda.
