Manama: The Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has identified and arrested four individuals for misusing social media.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the individuals filmed and published videos related to the aftermath of the Iranian aggression, including footage from military sites, and circulated them through their social media accounts in a manner that constitutes a violation of the law and involved disseminating false information.
The Ministry said that the circulation of such content may mislead public opinion, spread fear among citizens and residents, and harm security and public order.
Legal procedures have been taken against the individuals and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

d safeguard national security and safety.
