Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, upon his arrival in Bahrain today. The two ministers proceeded to the Ministry of Interior headquarters, where an honour guard was held. The Deputy Minister of Interior, the Chief of Public Security, and senior ministry officials were also present.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah highlighted the visit's importance in reinforcing security ties based on the strong relations between Bahrain and Pakistan. He commended the outstanding level of security cooperation and coordination between the two countries. Discussions covered enhancing cooperation in security efforts, addressing regional and global challenges, and developing the work of the Bahrain-Pakistan joint security committee.
At the conclusion of the visit, Minister Naqvi recorded a message in the visitors' book, expressing his appreciation for the opportunity to visit the Ministry of Interior and discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation between the two countries. Shaikh Rashid had earlier received the Pakistani minister at Bahrain International Airport.
