Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received the Best Asia-Pacific Championship Award for the 4th edition of the Ministry of Interior Bahrain Tennis Challenger.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the award was presented by Julia Boyadjieva, Vice President of the Challenger Tour at the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The award ceremony was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, General Supervisor of the tournament. Boyadjieva commended the tournament's outstanding organisation in Bahrain, which has enhanced the Kingdom's position as a leading destination for international sporting events.
The minister expressed pride in this achievement, which reflects the efforts made in supporting and organising sports events at a global level. He emphasised that hosting such tournaments aligns with Bahrain's vision of promoting sports and enhancing its infrastructure.
