Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the National Audit Office (NAO). The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and Chairman of the Internal Audit Oversight Committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister praised the NAO's crucial role in fostering the principles of transparency and integrity. Such principles are vital in supporting a governance system that is based on institutions and the rule of law. The NAO's efforts also ensure the optimal use of financial, human, and technical resources within the country.
During the meeting, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed appreciated the minister's dedication to enhancing communication and coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the NAO. This collaboration is seen as pivotal in advancing the nation's audit and oversight capacities.
