Interior Minister Meets with Commander of US Fifth Fleet to Discuss Security Cooperation

Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Vice Admiral Curt Renshaw, Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command and the U.S. Fifth Fleet. Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Police, was also present at the meeting.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister commended the strategic partnership and ties between the two countries, emphasizing the steady development of their relationship, particularly in security cooperation. The discussion focused on a shared commitment to exploring new avenues for exchanging expertise and strengthening joint coordination.

The meeting involved a review of bilateral security cooperation programmes and coordination efforts, aiming to advance joint security work between Bahrain and the United States.
