Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received the Ministry's Hajj delegation ahead of their departure to perform the pilgrimage. Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, and Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, were present.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation includes 57 members, comprising officers, personnel, and civilians. The minister commended the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for Bahraini pilgrims.
Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah also praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in ensuring the safety and care of pilgrims. He emphasized that sending ministry personnel for Hajj annually is a gesture of appreciation for their service. The Minister ensured that all arrangements were in place for a smooth pilgrimage, including travel and medical support.
