Interior Minister and UAE Ambassador Discuss Security Cooperation

Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Fahad Mohammed Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, they focused on the enduring relations between the two nations, which are continually strengthened with the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. The Interior Minister highlighted the need for ongoing enhancement of cooperation, especially in security matters.

According to Bahrain News Agency, General Shaikh Rashid voiced Bahrain's condemnation and strong denunciation of the terrorist and sabotage plot aimed at destabilizing the United Arab Emirates. He praised the effectiveness and vigilance of the UAE security forces in dismantling the terrorist organization, apprehending its members, and thwarting its plans.

The discussion also covered areas of security cooperation and topics that could foster the development of joint initiatives between Bahrain and the UAE. The meeting further addressed the current regional situation and its implications for both countries.

The meeting included the presence of Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police.
