Institute of Public Administration and UN Resident Coordinator Discuss Sustainable Development in Bahrain

Manama: Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), welcomed Khaled El Mekwad, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Bahrain, to a crucial meeting focused on enhancing cooperation for sustainable development and capacity building.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana emphasized the commitment of the Institute of Public Administration to integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within its training and leadership development programs. This effort aims to bolster national capabilities and align with Bahrain's broader development objectives. She pointed out the significance of the National Leadership Development Programme in embedding the SDGs into government strategies to improve public sector performance. Additionally, she acknowledged the vital support provided by the UN Resident Coordinator's Office for various joint initiatives.

Khaled El Mekwad expressed admiration for Bahrain's developmental strides and reiterated the United Nations' dedication to deepening collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration. He highlighted the importance of this partnership in advancing BIPA's programs and contributing to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
