Manama: Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, honoured the winners of the traditional games competitions held as part of the Heritage Village Evenings Festival, organised by the Ministry of Information from 1 to 18 Ramadhan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Binkhalil highlighted the Ministry's commitment, under the directives of Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, to annually present a range of programmes and competitions during Ramadhan that showcase Bahrain's cultural and historical heritage.
He noted the strong public participation, reflecting Bahrain's connection to its heritage, and commended the organising committee for their teamwork and commitment to transparency and integrity.
The competitions featured three traditional games: Carrom, Cote 6, and Dominoes. Specialised referees were appointed to oversee each game and ensure adherence to the rules.
The first-place winner received a cash prize of BHD 1,000, while the second-place winner was awarded BHD 500, and the third-place winner received BHD 250.
