Manama: The Ministry of Information has announced its preparedness to deliver comprehensive media coverage for the 3rd Asian Youth Games, scheduled to take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from October 22 to 31, 2025. This initiative underscores Bahrain's prominent standing in the Asian sports arena.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the tournament's events will be broadcast live on Bahrain Sports 1 and 2, as well as Bahrain International channels, featuring up to 30 different sports and over 141 events for both men and women. A daily programme will air at 9:30 p.m., helmed by sports journalists Mariam Bukamal, Fawaz Al Abdulla, Isa Sharaida, and Mohamed Abdulghaffar. This programme will feature Bahraini sports figures and analysts who will review outcomes, analyse performances, and spotlight associated activities from the perspectives of participants, organisers, and volunteers.
The coverage strategy includes live field reports and correspondents stationed at various venues to provide real-time updates. This will be supported by a newly established sports studio, equipped with cutting-edge technology to capture the essence of the continental event and exemplify the Kingdom's exemplary hosting standards as a leading sports hub in Asia.
The ministry has also highlighted that its digital platforms will be pivotal in presenting the tournament on a global scale, through an integrated plan to create approximately 4,000 digital content pieces. This will involve the use of artificial intelligence technologies and a strategic partnership with TikTok to boost engagement with regional and international audiences.
To ensure superior broadcasting quality, the ministry has set up a fully equipped international broadcast centre and has outfitted sports venues with the latest global technologies. This is aimed at delivering uninterrupted, high-standard coverage of all competitions and related activities.
The ministry reaffirmed that its media teams will operate tirelessly to document competitions and accompanying events. This effort aims to showcase Bahrain's largest-ever participation in the Asian Youth Games and the Kingdom's exceptional organisational capabilities, which bolster its distinguished reputation in Asia and beyond.
