Industry Ministry: Monitoring Local Markets to Ensure Availability of Essential Goods, Stable Prices

Manama: As part of ongoing efforts to keep local markets stable, the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasised the compliance of all traders, suppliers, and business owners acting responsibly by not increasing prices, taking advantage of unusual situations, or stockpiling essential goods. The ministry called for everyone to act responsibly, follow market regulations, and work together to maintain a stable business environment that protects consumer rights and builds trust.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry said it is closely monitoring the supply and prices of goods in local markets, watching for any unfair practices or attempts to harm consumers. It warned that strict action will be taken, in coordination with other authorities, against anyone found breaking the rules.

The ministry also urged citizens and residents to report any violations, such as unjustified price increases or shortages, through its official channels, which are available 24/7. The ministry underlined its commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring that essential goods remain available at fair and competitive prices for everyone.
