Industry Minister Visits Manama Central Market, Confirms Supply Availability

Manama: Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, visited Manama Central Market to review the availability of essential goods and services and the smooth flow of supply chains, as part of a series of market inspection visits across the Kingdom of Bahrain amid current developments following the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom and the region.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister underscored the importance of cooperation with the private sector to ensure sufficient availability of consumer goods for citizens and residents, while intensifying oversight to maintain balance in quality and pricing, particularly under the current circumstances. He highlighted ongoing inspection campaigns aimed at monitoring markets, ensuring price stability, sustaining the availability of essential goods, and maintaining stock availability capable of meeting market needs.

Fakhro met with traders and vendors, listened to their observations, and reiterated the ministry's commitment to address any challenges. He commended the traders' preparedness and responsible approach in maintaining price stability and refraining from price manipulation or withholding goods during the current period.

The minister also emphasised the ministry's commitment to strengthening strategic stock availability of essential goods to ensure market readiness for any potential developments, noting the stability of the Kingdom's supply situation, the uninterrupted availability of goods, and the continued delivery of services with efficiency and high quality in support of the national interest and consumer confidence.
