Manama: Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, welcomed Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, during an official visit to Bahrain. The meeting underscored the robust Bahraini-Emirati relationship as both nations continue to enhance collaboration under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Fakhro emphasized the significance of bolstering bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and economic development, aiming to uncover new opportunities and shared benefits for the citizens of both countries. Dr. Al Zeyoudi echoed these sentiments, expressing pride in the longstanding and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the UAE, and reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to deepening collaboration across various economic sectors, especially in trade and investment.
During the visit, the ministers toured the newly inaugurated UAE Investors Centre in Bahrain. Minister Fakhro highlighted the pivotal role of Emirati investments in strengthening economic ties, citing years of successful cooperation. He pointed out the Centre's importance as a crucial gateway for expanding joint investments and facilitating cross-border business endeavors.
The visit also featured a joint workshop on Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPA), organized by the UAE negotiation team. This session provided insights into the UAE's experience in establishing CEPA agreements, further illustrating the commitment of both nations to enhance economic cooperation.
